Depression embossing is especially suitable for fabric labels whose visual impression relys on high gloss, matt effects or gold or silver. Single design elements are accented through the stamping of three-dimensional outlines.
The form of the embossing can therefore be produced completely according to your wishes, including special foil embossing your own relief-cut gravings (three-dimensioned brazen printing plate).
The procedure is comparatively costly but it offers unique possibilities for design and permanent impression.
Technically speaking, the foil embossing on textile using heat embossing is comparable to foil printing. Compared to the "simple" foil impression labels,noticeably stronger machines with a considerably higher contact pressures are required.
For the relief pressure, a relief-cut graving (three-dimensioned CNC milled brazen printing plate) with a hardened cutting tool comes into operation. The material is to a certain extent squashed in a three-dimensioned form and warped.
Additionally, the printing plate for foil embossing is considerably larger than with the "normal" foil imprinting (about 7 mm compared to 1.75 or 3 mm).
The following basic materials are, according to our own experience, lend themselves for use with foil embossing:
acetate-satin _
polyester-satin _
A wide choice of the foils can be provided by us.
Hint: Embossings with gold or silver-foils are NOT washable.
